Fire damage can be especially hazardous, stressful, and damaging to your residential or commercial property. We suggest these tips if you are experiencing fire and soot damage.

DO:

  • Limit movement/touching objects to prevent soot from getting into furniture & carpets - keep your hands clean if touching areas
  • Use clean towels or old linens on areas where people might be walking
  • Wash houseplants thoroughly but carefully so you don't kill them
  • Change HVAC (Heating & air-conditioning) filter

Do Not:

  • Wash or clean any areas affected by fire
  • Ingest canned or packaged food/drinks that are near or in the affected area
  • Take clothing to the laundromat or dry cleaners - they will get more damaged and the odor will set
